Elim Snow

Elim Snow Husband of Naomi, Father, Global Traveler, Writer, Artist, Student/Teacher, Anthropologist, Welcomer. I'm husband to Naomi, & dad to Annika.

I'd describe myself as a "Chicagoan." I've also lived or spent chapters of my life throughout the midwest, the southeast, the southwest, the Caucasus, & the Levant. By discipline, I'm a cultural anthropologist (I study humanity, how we're the same, & how we're different). I see my life role to welcome foreigners, make family with non-family, & intentionally & meaningfully include people in my life

who lack normal social support systems. I have various bachelors, masters degrees, certifications, & work experience in: cultural anthropology, community development, ESL, EFL, Islamic studies, Arabic language, some Farsi language, conflict resolution, student development, Christian ecclesiology, immigration in relation to refugees - international students - asylum seekers, staff care, & outdoor education.
