Time to get caught up on my posts 😬

My first and last time photographing Track and Field at IC, a few lessons learned:

1. Get in the shade between events
2. Check both ways before crossing lanes
3. Run left or right instead of front or back to avoid projectiles
4. You won't get everything - events are spread out and happen at the same time
5. Bring water

Also, athletes don't wear jersey numbers - If y'all could help me tag on this one id appreciate it.

One of my favorite shoots so far hands down, if y’all haven’t tried night photography you need to give it a shot

If you’ve never seen someone skate in person you can’t understand the pace of it.

I got that lesson from .___.mill. The the sound of the board as it rolls over gaps in the sidewalk, the breaks between tricks looking out for cars, the suspense leading up to a trick and the excitement when you nail it. It’s addictive.

Sometimes you catch the light just right. Golden hour can be tricky because the light keeps changing, but future RA and I had a great time chasing the sun and pretending it wasn't freezing cold outside. Thanks for the shoot and for letting me share these photos.
