Process art focuses on experimenting, making choices and enjoying the creative experience. Every creation may look different because there is no single expected result.

Product art follows steps toward a specific finished example. Product art becomes limiting when every child’s creation is expected to look the same or adults make most of the creative decisions.

Both can have a place in early learning.

We caught .sensory.play learning through PLAY! 🥰

Mixing sand and water puts the transforming play schema into action. Children explore cause and effect as they discover how water changes the texture, color, and movement of the sand.

Squeezing the bottles strengthens little hands and develops fine motor control, grip strength, and coordination. Touching, mixing, and molding the wet sand also builds sensory confidence through tactile exploration.

The ocean animals inspire pretend play, encouraging children to create stories, use new vocabulary, share ideas, and explore their imaginations. Pure fun! 💛
