I spoke at the Leap into Leadership dinner for the Women's Legislative Caucus last night! Guess what was right across the street? The location where the Territorial Council met in 1869 and passed Wyoming’s woman suffrage bill! Beautiful mural!

I am excited to officially announce that I am the new project director for WyoHistory.org, a project of the Wyoming Historical Society! I haven't been able to post on social media much this last year. Work has been very busy between publishing some great articles and writing exhibit text for the restored Wyoming State Capitol. Between all of these fun projects, I am still touring the state and sharing my research on Wyoming history.
Check out my blog with the announcement here: https://www.wyohistory.org/blog/new-project-director-wyohistoryorg

I am honored to have written the forward to this great book by Janelle Molony! She has gathered together incredible testimonies from emigrants traveling along the North Platte River in 1864-- including the diary of her own ancestor, Sarah (Daglish) Rousseau. A must-read for trail enthusiasts and scholars!
EMIGRANT TALES OF THE PLATTE RIVER RAIDS sees author Janelle Molony compile a thorough, blow-by-blow account of a largely forgotten aspect of nineteenth-century trail history. - Craig Jones for IndieReader
Check out the new book review with well-versed academic criticisms and points of high praise.
