Students celebrate the end of the manhunt for the remaining high profile-suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. Photo by Graham Beck
Update: The second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings is in police custody. Thank you for your patience and your well wishes. We hope to see some of you on Sunday!
Thank you for your continued patience while our community has faced an unprecedented situation. The "shelter in place" ban has been lifted for Boston and the surrounding communities, including Boston College. Accordingly, Boston College will proceed with the Admitted Eagle Day program this Sunday, April 21st.
Please keep in mind that while the "shelter in place" ban has been lifted, suspect #2 in the Boston Marathon bombings still remains at large. The search for the suspect continues to evolve at the time of this posting. We recognize and respect that some visitors may still have concerns about traveling to campus. If you wish to cancel your registration, please go to http://www.bc.edu/content/bc/admission/undergrad/s-admittedeagleday/cancel.html.
Again, we thank you for your patience during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
We have received several inquiries regarding our Admitted Eagle Day program scheduled for this Sunday. At this point, we are taking everything on an hourly basis. We are hopeful that the emergency situation in Boston will be resolved soon and that we can hold our Admitted Eagle Day as scheduled. That being said, the safety of our students, staff, faculty and admitted students is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the news and send updates about our programming when we have new information. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
