Mind-blowing. I've never tested my 30-gallon tank, which consists of zoas, mushrooms (including bounces), and some SPS. The tank is thriving, BUT I tested alkalinity last night only to discover a 4.9 dKH!! Calcium showed 409. The alkalinity is a major concern, on the brink of crashing! I did a 30% water change and will revisit the levels in two days. I've never tested ALK, CA & MG, let alone dose any of the big three. Salinity is the only level kept in check beyond water changes every two weeks to match my 180-gallon, which maintains a 8.6 dKH consistently.
Wish me luck! Never make dramatic or sudden changes to your water quality or tank environment, which will only raise your risk of a tank crash.

It's been about two weeks since the big fish and coral move, but everything is looking great!
Placing or "planting" (πŸ˜‚) all my corals has been challenging. I'm excited to see how the aquascape will look overtime, but so far so good!
My fish, and especially my yellow tangs, have never been happier, with all kinds of room to swim.
Overall, I'm very pleased with how the 178 gallon is coming together! What do you guys think?! Let me know below!

A bittersweet post. Unfortunately, I'll be moving the reeftank this week, missing it's 8th birthday by just a few days.

Never would I imagine an aquarium allowing me to meet so many amazing, passionate, people with the same collective goal of creating a beautiful ecosystem.

It's now time to move on to a new canvas, as I make the move to my new 178 gallon.

I'm excited for the future, and where this hobby will lead me. Thanks to those that have supported my addiction over the years! I wouldn't trade it for anything.
