On Tuesday, our forum members attended our Legislative Hill Day hosted by the Palmetto State Teachers Association at the State House. We appreciate our county representatives, Rep. Pat Henegan, Rep. Cody Mitchell, and Rep. Richie Yow for taking time to meet with us. We also appreciate our county senators, Senator Malloy and Senator Gustafson for taking time to meet with us as well.
We are grateful for this opportunity to advocate on behalf of teachers and students of Chesterfield County Schools.

Mrs. Kathy Maness, Director of PSTA Advocacy Team spent time with our Forum on Wednesday February 22nd. She provided our forum members with legislative updates and empowered us to advocate for our profession.
She also celebrated and recognized our CCSD 2022-2023 District Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Jennifer Byrd, with this beautiful banner from the Palmetto State Teacher Association!

Teacher Forum members, with their schools, collected and wrapped Christmas presents for 16 foster children in Chesterfield County! We delivered over 150 gifts to DSS on Wednesday, December 14th. Thank you to all who worked to make this blessing happen.

CCS Teacher Forum members collected donations and supplies for new teachers in the district. During the October Teacher Forum meeting, Teacher Forum members packed supply gift baskets. Gift baskets were hand delivered to new teachers across the district. Teacher Forum is happy to welcome and support new teachers in our schools!

What a fantastic first Teacher Forum meeting for the 2022-2023 year! Chesterfield County was well represented by these outstanding educational leaders. We appreciate Dr. Anderson sharing his vision for CCS Ready and for taking questions from teachers around the county. We are looking forward to a productive and proactive year!
