Serving infants through preschool Tuesday–Friday in Chester (Enon). Nicole – Lead Caregiver/Owner

Hey, I’m Nicole! With 25 years of parenting and 7 years of professional childcare experience, I’m creating a warm, loving environment where kids feel safe, unique, and supported. I know how important it is to find a place where your child can thrive, and that’s exactly what we offer here! I’m wrapping up my AAS in Early Childhood Development at Blue Ridge Community College (Summer 2025) and hold two Career Studies Certificates in Early Childhood Development (I & II, 2024). I’m always learning, growing, and ensuring the kids are having fun while they learn! What makes our daycare extra special is that it’s family-run. My loved ones are right here with me, helping ensure everything runs smoothly and every child gets that personal, nanny-like care. We believe in working together to create a tight-knit community where kids feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. As a mom, I understand how much you want the best for your child. That’s why I treat every little one like family—ensuring they get all the attention, care, and fun they need. And, of course, we’re fully background-checked, CPR-certified, and meet state licensing standards to give you peace of mind that your child is in safe hands.

💙 Little Moments at KD1Care

It's funny how quickly children's attention can shift. 😂

One minute it was all about Water Wednesday... the next minute everyone was watching a bird on the fence.

I wouldn't have it any other way. 💙

💙 Little Moments at KD1Care

Between the rain and the poor air quality, we've had to stay inside more than usual, but that doesn't mean we stop moving. We still find a way to have fun.

When we can't get outside, I bring in as many of our outdoor toys as I can so the children still have plenty of room to ride, play, and burn off some energy.

💙 Welcome to KD1Care

Hi! I'm Nicole, owner of KD1Care.

If you're new here, welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by.

I know choosing childcare is a big decision, and every parent wants to feel confident about who they're leaving their child with. My goal has always been to make sure you never have to wonder how your little one is doing while you're at work or away.

KD1Care is a licensed, family-run childcare program in Chester serving infants through preschool. I keep my group small because I believe every child deserves individual attention, lots of encouragement, and to be loved while they're here.

Parents often tell me they appreciate the open communication, the consistent routine, and knowing their child is cared for like family. That's exactly the kind of environment I've worked hard to create.

If you're looking for childcare, I'd love to learn more about your family and see if KD1Care is the right fit. Just send me a message, and we'll take it from there.

Thank you for visiting my page, and I hope to meet you and your little one soon!

💙 Nicole

💙 Little Moments at KD1Care

The sidewalk chalk came out this week, and before long, the driveway was covered in color. 😊

I love activities like this because every child makes it their own. Some draw pictures, some make lines and circles, and some just enjoy seeing all the colors come together.

Sometimes the simplest activities end up being the most fun. 💙

💙 Little Moments at KD1Care

The best part about activities like this isn't that every child does the same thing.

It's watching each child enjoy it in their own way.

One little friend couldn't wait to use every tool she could find, while another was perfectly content exploring the Play-Doh with her hands.

🔍 We brought out the magnifying glasses last week, and everyone became little investigators. 😊

I love activities like this because they encourage children to slow down, notice details, and ask questions.

It's always fun to watch what catches their attention because the simplest activities often lead to the biggest discoveries.

💙 We still have a few August openings for infants through age 3 if you're looking for care.
