Meet the Maker / Artist - I guess it's time to share a little about me. Most know me by Sue Hill - but there's so much more to who I am!

I was raised in rural midwest. Born in Iowa, but grew up mostly in Missouri in a tiny town of 300 people. When I turned 18, I moved to Panama City Beach, Florida - then to Newport, RI - and planted roots here in Virginia Beach in 1992. I am educated, strong willed, and expressive.

I began working with glass about umpteen years ago as a hobby. My first career of 25 years, I was a technical writer and proposal writer as an independent government contractor. I held a pretty high security clearance and was a part of some really interesting projects.

As my 3 boys became amazing educated adults, I wanted to take my hobby to the next level and turn it into a business. After many conversations with a very supportive and incredibly loving husband of 30 years, I cautiously flipped the switch to retire and started making my dream job as an artist and educator come to fruition.

I love to create and share the art with others by teaching people how to make their own art with glass and the importance of repurposing. I also love to work with non-profits.

I am a summer baby, music lover, a prankster, awkward, quirky, down to earth, free thinker, creative, open minded, an animal lover, planty girl, vintage admirer, and a very caring human. A simple life and time with my family and friends is more important than anything monetary.

😊 Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. Much love to all.

Every day is a beautiful opportunity to meet new people and share the art!
