Change of polling place!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 4, 2025

Cherokee Polling Place Change

CRAWFORD COUNTY, KS: Upon arrival Monday to set up for the primary election at the Cherokee Senior Center at 208 S. Vine St, officials discovered that part of the ceiling had collapsed. City officials determined that it wasn't safe to allow voters in the building, and offered use of the Cherokee City Tornado Shelter.

All voters eligible to cast a ballot in the primary election for USD 247 school board, member position 5 can vote at the Cherokee City Tornado Shelter located at 106 W. Cedar St., Cherokee. The polling place opens at 7am and closes at 7pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to call my office.
