Today is , and we’re celebrating the people who help children build the skills for their future - from day one.
Before the first day of kindergarten, before backpacks and bus rides, there are child care teachers building the foundation. Through play, conversation, and everyday moments, they help children grow the skills that serve a lifetime—confidence, curiosity, friendships, and a love of learning.
Every block stacked, every story read, every question answered is part of something bigger: helping children arrive at kindergarten ready to thrive.
Child care teachers show up with patience, care, and intention.
To our child care teachers across Hamilton County—thank you for being such an essential part of the journey. You don’t just prepare children for school—you help shape their future.

It’s , and gratitude is just the beginning. Our Hamilton County teachers show up every day for students, families, and our community, and this week, we’re celebrating the impact they make in and beyond the classroom.
As part of our 10-year celebration back in December, educators shared one-word commitments—promises rooted in action—to help ensure a thriving future for Hamilton County students. From supporting learning, inspiring growth, and expanding opportunity, these commitments reflect both the responsibility teachers carry and the hope they hold for every child’s future.
Here are 3 meaningful ways to support educators this week ➡️
1️⃣ Share a Story
Take a moment to thank a teacher who made a difference in your life. Share a memory, post a tribute, or send a personal note of appreciation.
2️⃣ Support Their Work
Ask a local teacher what they need—classroom supplies, volunteer support, or simply extra encouragement—and find a way to help.
3️⃣ Advocate for Educators
Appreciation also means supporting the systems teachers rely on. Stay informed, engage in local education conversations, and speak up for policies that strengthen our schools.
Teachers shape futures every day, and these commitments are a powerful reminder that building bright starts and thriving futures takes all of us. This week, let’s celebrate educators not just with words, but with support that lasts.
