1208chatt & 1208denver. We’re thankful for two great cities that we call home... both full of outdoor adventures & exploring, right near the Appalachians & the Rockies! These city scenes (old & new) encompass all that we love of both: parks, fun downtowns, & mountains to hike within easy driving distance behind. We’ve got more projects coming in 2018, & as always, we’re really grateful for the follows!

1208denver here. This 2 x 4’ piece will have a finished reveal in exactly one week: Sunday, Feb. 4! Feb. 3 — noted on the piece — marks the wedding date of a couple who met in Denver. This view is from City Park in Denver, CO looking west toward the Rockies. It’s been a fun one, but dang, buildings & windows are t o u g h!! A few days ago, our art business had its 4 year anniversary! So, given that it’d be no business at all without the friendship that created it, we’re celebrating the milestone of being friends too—and friends while being business partners (which we heard wasn’t always the best idea—mixing friendship with business). But, art or no art we’re now 9 years strong in friendship (..was it seriously that long ago we started college?! 😱Ughhh) and still mapping out ideas from afar of where to take 1208studio in 2018. These pics are from Rocky Mtn Nat’l Park back in January in the wintery wonderland of the Rockies. The outdoors inspire us, and we’re hoping to capture more of it all in year #🖐🏼! The Tennessee Valley, here, in the midst of late fall... Perhaps no place in nature more restful and better yet, the city where our art business came to be, flowed into place, and continues to feed some of our inspiration. The beginning years of our art days were fun here, and I () love the nostalgia of it. It’s passed us by (& now the Rockies and Appalachians both beg for our attention and observation), but those beginning years were fun, and worth being really thankful for... for what they were and will always be. Enjoy it ! Tennessee is a beaut. 😊 1208studio was founded Nov 26, 2013... We’re just a few days shy of 4 years!

It's F A L L y'all! For the Southerners among us, maybe you've just come off a summer of humid air and camping among the lightning bugs. Westerners, maybe you've explored one more national park nearby and dozed under a multitude of stars. Whoever you are, make sure to get out there still, among the crunching leaves of color in the Appalachians or surrounded by the golden yellow hues of the Rockies. The great outdoors await us still! Grab some spiked cider, start a fire, and go embrace the quietude of the forest where being fully there is always better than the pictures that follow. colors
