Five generations. One lasting impact. 🩺🧡

Five generations of family medicine physicians gathered at the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society social last night — each having played a role in our program, whether as a graduated resident or current educator, and now practicing throughout the Chattanooga area.

Among them was Dr. J. Mack Worthington, who founded our Department of Family Medicine in 1995. Nearly three decades later and his vision continues through the physicians who shape our program.

🔬 Advancing cancer research through collaboration across Tennessee!

Dr. Nathan Walter, a 5th-year general surgery resident, presented his research, “Standard MRI Reporting Improves Tumor Height Concordance in Re**al Cancer,” at the 2nd Annual TN Statewide Cancer Collaborative in Nashville, TN.

His work highlights the importance of standardized reporting in improving consistency and accuracy in re**al cancer care and reflects the collaborative, research-driven efforts happening across our state.

The TN Statewide Cancer Collaborative brings researchers, physicians, and institutions together to share knowledge, strengthen cancer research, and work toward better outcomes for patients across Tennessee. 🩺🎗️

We joined Lutzie 43 for their Safe Driving Summit at Signal Mountain High School showing students the dangers of driving distracted. With us was Dr. Anna Rogers, 3rd year surgical resident, Dr. Elijah Wyatt, clinical instructor for emergency medicine, Erlanger trauma, and more.
