Today is MIRROR BOOK MONDAY!! “Mirror Books” (books where children see their own lives reflected) build self-esteem and reading engagement. “Every child deserves to see their story on the shelf. Today we’re reading a masterpiece about the courage it takes to share your world with others. ”

Happy Thanksgiving from Culture Books!
Today we’re grateful for stories that bring families together, little readers who brighten our days, and a community that believes in the power of books.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Culture of the Month program, our First Pages baby library, and every family who has welcomed literacy into their homes this year.
📚❤️

Wishing you warmth, joy, and time to slow down with the people you love.
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

Encourage “thank you” drawings!
Even scribbles are early writing — they help children express themselves, practice fine motor skills, and develop gratitude.

Let your child draw a simple thank-you picture for someone in their life — a teacher, friend, caregiver, or family member.
Talk about who they appreciate and why.
Moments like these build empathy and literacy. 💛

Happy Sunday!

“Take a moment today to reflect with your child — What did you give this week? A smile, a helping hand, a kind word? Every act of giving gathers love.”

✏️ Let your child help you write grocery or thank-you lists — it builds literacy naturally!

Enhance Reading Tip: Have your child help write part of the grocery or thank-you list. Let them copy a few letters or words, then read the list aloud together while you shop or pretend-shop at home.

Hello there!!

📖 Book of the Week: ‘Last Stop on Market Street’ — a reminder to find beauty in everyday moments.

Enhance at home:

After reading, talk about what CJ notices on the bus. Ask your child what beautiful things they see in your neighborhood and draw a ‘Market Street’ for your own city.
