IT’S OFFICIAL! 🎉 Tennessee is moving forward with the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact!

This is an incredible win for Respiratory Therapists across the state! 🙌 With the advancement of the RCIC, Tennessee is cutting through the red tape, making it easier than ever for licensed RTs to practice across state lines without the headache of maintaining multiple individual state licenses.

What does this mean?
💼 More flexibility and career opportunities for our dedicated RT workforce.
🏥 Faster support for hospitals facing staffing shortages.
❤️ Better, more consistent care for patients when and where they need it most.

Our 2nd year Respiratory Therapy students had an incredible time visiting with students at Howard High School and Red Bank High School to showcase the impact of a career as a Respiratory Therapist. From demonstrating lung anatomy to sharing what it’s really like on the front lines of patient care, it was all about sparking curiosity for one of the best-kept secrets in healthcare.

Big moves in the sim lab!🫁 Our soon-to-be grads are getting hands-on practice today. It’s all in a day’s work for these future Registered Respiratory Therapists as they take ‘a breath of fresh air’ to a whole new level 🩺✨

Our first-year Respiratory Therapy Students are officially BLS certified! From high-quality compressions to mastering the bag-mask, these students are proving they have what it takes to handle the pressure. The future of Respiratory Care is in good hands! 🩺🫁🧡

Our Respiratory Therapy seniors put their skills to the test by leading demos for the students at LFO High School. Watching our soon-to-be graduates explain complex airway management and ventilation with such confidence is a testament to how far they’ve come.

Our second-year students wrapped up a two-day case study presentations. Seeing them connect complex clinical theory to real-world patient care with such confidence and critical thinking is what it’s all about.

From analyzing labs and imaging studies to mastering ventilator management, these students are proving they are more than ready for their next step! So proud of the hard work, late-night studying, and dedication they’ve poured into this program and themselves.
