Chatsworth Park Urban Planning Magnet

Our read-a-thon was a HUGE success for Read Across America!! Our Palominos read 34,653 minutes in a week as a collectove school, which was over double our goal of 15,000. This meant some of our staff, and even Mr. G!, got DOUBLE pies in the face. 🥧

This week at Chatsworth Park!

Here are a few reminders from Mr. G:

Traffic Circle:
Parents must stay inside the vehicle at all times.
Have your student ready to exit the vehicle.
Students must walk behind your vehicle if exiting on the driver’s side.
When exiting out of the parking lot, make a right hand turn only!
Visitor Parking is available after 8:00 am in the parking lots - your cooperation is appreciated


Hiawatha Gate:
Pull up to the curb on the school side to drop off your student.
If you are arriving on the north side of the street, park your vehicle, use the crosswalk to walk your child off across the road.
DO NOT let your student run out in the middle of the street!

This week at Chatsworth Park!

Holiday Show tickets can be picked up in the office tomorrow from 7:30-3:00. If you are unable to come pick up your tickets, they will be sent home with your child on Tuesday.

Due to the overwhelming response and the capacity of the auditorium, we ask that you please come on the allot date and time printed on the tickets that were distributed to your student. We unfortunately cannot exchange performance tickets for different dates or times once they have been distributed. On the day of the performance that you are scheduled to attend, all attendees must present their tickets and enter through the Main Office gate.

We will not be able to accommodate any families who show up for a performance that is different from the date and time presented.

Make sure you turn in your Holiday show ticket requests to your child's teacher or the office no later than Friday the 8th. Requests are filled by first come first served basis.
If you haven't gotten tickets yet for the 5th grade fundraiser's Pancake breakfast, they are still on sale! The event is this Saturday the 9th.
The annual Kiwanis Chatsworth Holiday Parade is on Sunday (:

The LAUSD Winter Academy is a district wide academic support that anyone can attend. If you have questions about choosing to register, or how it works, please feel free to message us or call the school and we can help answer any questions you may have. This is what was held last year as well.

49 first graders met their AR goals this trimester!! In just 60 days, the 1st graders combined, read 1,062 books and 400,108 words. YAY 1st grade! 🥳

PTA Dine out fundraiser at Panda Express tomorrow from 9:30am-10pm

If you have not signed up for a conference with your child's teacher yet, please make sure to do so (:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are minimum days. Dismissal is at 12:33pm those days.
Tuesday dismissal is at 1:23 pm.
