Why become a Representative with Family Council for ACPS? Here’s what our volunteers say:
Make a positive impact & help our school system work better for all kids.
Use your hard-won experiences as a parent and family member to help others.
Make friends with highly-engaged parents across schools while doing good.
Learn the “why” behind ACPS decisions and new programs… it matters to get involved.
Strengthen the upper grade schools your younger kids will attend in the future.
Contribute at a division-level after engaging at a school-level.
Build knowledge about how the school system works so you can someday be a great school board member. (OK, this hasn’t actually happened … yet!)
