🌟 Teacher Appreciation Spotlight 🌟

Mrs. Olivia loves spending time with her daughter, Willow! Right now, the two of them read Willow’s favorite book, Green Tractor, countless times a day and work on teaching her new words so she can better express what she needs. They enjoy going on walks, traveling, and exploring new places together. Mrs. Olivia also loves visiting family, attending concerts and festivals, and searching for fun craft ideas for the children at school. She has recently started getting into photography as well! 📸
Since joining Kidz Nation Academy in October, Mrs. Olivia has been such a blessing to our team. She has poured so much love and care into our aftercare program, supporting students and navigating every challenge with grace and understanding. Her teachable spirit and willingness to learn and grow make her such a valuable part of our KNA family! 💕

Mrs. Kristy is a dedicated early childhood educator with a lifelong commitment to learning, service, and community. After more than 30 years at the University of Virginia, she retired in 2015 and began a new chapter at a private Christian school where she had faithfully volunteered for many years. Her passion for nurturing young learners led her to serve as a pre-kindergarten teacher until her retirement in June 2025.
Mrs. Kristy continues to pursue excellence in education, earning both her Early Childhood Development I and II certifications through Blue Ridge Community College. Her academic achievements were also recognized through her membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Now serving as a substitute teacher at Kidz Nation Academy, Mrs. Kristy continues to faithfully invest in children in our 3- and 4-year-old classrooms during such important developmental years.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Kristy enjoys spending time with family, serving in her church through music ministry by playing guitar and singing, and expressing her creativity through gardening, painting, and crafting. She also enjoys beach trips and riding her motorcycle, embracing both relaxation and adventure! 🌷🎸🏍️

🌟 Teacher Appreciation Spotlight 🌟

Today we are highlighting two special members of our Kidz Nation Academy family!

Ms. Nilam helps provide support to all classes at KNA! She was born in Nepal and studied in India, where she also attended college. She comes from a large family with five sisters and brothers. Before coming to America in 2003, she spent 15 years teaching in Nepal. She was married to her late husband, Mohan Prashain, and is the proud mother of two children — a son who serves in the Army and a daughter who works as a pharmacy technician.
For the past 22 years, Ms. Nilam has faithfully worked in early childhood education, pouring love and care into the lives of children. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys gardening and playing chess. We are so thankful for the wisdom, dedication, and nurturing heart she brings to our school each day! 🌷♟️

Jasmine is a senior graduating tomorrow, and we could not be more excited for her! After graduation, she will continue working with us throughout the summer before beginning full-time work with Louisa County Public Schools as she pursues her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Currently, Jasmine provides afternoon coverage to our toddler class and has deep love for each child!
Jasmine loves spending time with her family! It doesn’t matter what they are doing as long as they are together. She also enjoys time with her boyfriend, Carson, reading her Bible, and hanging out with her sisters or Saturday morning errands with her Mom. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and look forward to seeing all God has in store for her future! 💕📚

Thank you both for the love, patience, and care you pour into the children and families at Kidz Nation Academy. Your dedication, servant hearts, and positive impact do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly thankful for each of you and the difference you make every day! 💛

🥰Teacher Appreciation Spotlight🥰

Today we are celebrating our amazing preschool teacher, Miss LynLyn! 💗

Miss LynLyn comes from a big family and loves spending her free time making memories with them. Whether it’s Saturday night Bible studies, game nights, or simply enjoying quality time together, family means everything to her.

She loves driving, energy drinks, trying new foods and experiences, and spending time by the ocean! Her favorite color is pink, and fall is her favorite season 🍂

We are so thankful for the love, patience, joy, and creativity Miss LynLyn pours into our preschoolers every single day. Thank you for loving our children so well and for being such a special part of the Kidz Nation Academy family! 💕

🍎 Teacher Appreciation Spotlight – Toddler Class Teachers 🍎
Today we are celebrating two very special teachers who help make our toddler classroom such a loving and nurturing environment — Ms. Wanda and Miss Kimberly!

Ms. Wanda lives in Louisa County and is the proud mother of one daughter and grandmother to three fun and lovable grandchildren who keep her busy and bring so much joy to her life. With more than 31 years of experience in childcare and over 10 years in home health care, she has dedicated much of her life to caring for others. Outside of work, she enjoys supporting her grandson in his sports activities, attending church with family, and gathering for Sunday dinners at her mother’s home.

Miss Kimberly is outgoing and full of life. She comes from a close-knit family and values every opportunity to spend time with them. In her free time, she enjoys watching sunsets, listening to music, shopping, and cooking. Her dedication and care in the classroom help create a positive environment where children can learn and grow each day.

We are incredibly thankful for the time, patience, and commitment both Ms. Wanda and Miss Kimberly pour into our toddler classroom. Thank you for the impact you make in the lives of our children and families every single day! 💛

Today, we are excited to spotlight our amazing Infant Teachers, Miss Makenna and Mrs. Toba! Their patience, nurturing hearts, and dedication create a loving and safe environment where our youngest learners can grow, thrive, and feel cared for every single day. We are so thankful for the compassion, gentleness, and excellence they bring to our classrooms and to the families we serve.

Miss Makenna is currently enrolled in college at Piedmont Virginia Community College. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones and her two adorable kitties, Bagel and Toast. She loves being outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying all that nature has to offer! Her favorite color is yellow, and fall is her favorite season — which perfectly matches her warm and cheerful personality. We are so thankful for the kindness, care, and joy she brings to our infant classroom each and every day! 🌞🍂

Mrs. Toba is one of seven siblings and has dedicated more than 22 years to working in childcare. She can often be found singing sweetly to the infants, creating a loving and comforting environment for our little ones each day. Her joyful spirit and warm personality make her such a blessing to our classrooms!
Outside of work, Mrs. Toba loves to cook and treasures time with her 16-year-old son, who is truly her pride and joy. Her favorite color is green, and spring is her favorite season — a perfect reflection of the life and positivity she brings wherever she goes. Mrs. Toba is a source of encouragement to those around her and brings so much joy, love, and heart to KNA. We are beyond thankful for all she pours into our children, families, and staff each day! 🌷

Together, they are a fantastic team whose partnership, positivity, and genuine love for children help make our Infant Classroom so special.
