56 YEARS. ALL VOLUNTEER. ALL HEART.

Tonight we celebrate the retirement of Coach Tony Rodriguez.

56 years of showing up for our kids without ever asking for anything in return. There will never be another like you.

We love you, Coach. Thank you.

HIGH AND TIGHT, OR IT AIN'T YOURS.

Ball security isn't talent. It's a habit — and habits are trained, not hoped for.

Drill it like this: five points of pressure — nose of the ball in the palm, forearm across the tip, bicep to the rib cage, ball clamped to the chest, wrist over the point. Every rep. Walk-throughs, indy, team period. No exceptions.

Then add the stiff-arm as a weapon, not a panic button: elbow bent, hand loaded, strike through the defender's chest or facemask — keep him off the ball, not off your feelings.

Here's the part nobody wants to hear: the fumble you gave up Friday was lost on a Tuesday in July when you jogged through a ball-security circuit. October is when the teams that drilled the boring stuff separate from the ones that didn't.

Carry it like you own it. Because Friday, everybody in the stadium knows what happens if you don't. 💪🏈
