A SWEET way to celebrate our KMS 7/8 staff! 🍦💚💙

A HUGE thank you to for treating our amazing staff to ice cream! After a busy start to the school year, this was the perfect way to bring a little extra joy to our team.

💚💙 KMS Dance is back in action! 💃🦅

We are excited to see our Eagles moving, creating, and bringing their energy to the dance floor under the direction of our amazing dance teacher, Ms. Chloe Gosline!

Through dance, our students are building confidence, creativity, discipline, teamwork, and a love for the arts. We appreciate Ms. Gosline for creating opportunities for our students to express themselves and showcase their talents.

🦅💚💙 WEEK ONE IS IN THE BOOKS!
What a great start to the 2026-2027 school year at KMS 7/8! Our Eagles spent the week reconnecting with friends, building relationships with teachers, learning routines and expectations, and getting back to learning.
And the excitement doesn’t stop when the final bell rings! 🏈🥎📣🎾⛳🏃 Practices and tryouts are underway for Football, Softball, Cheer, Tennis, Golf, and Cross Country! We love seeing our Eagles getting involved and representing KMS!
Week One was about establishing the standard. Week Two is about staying consistent and continuing to build!
Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for helping us get off to such a strong start.

A great first day starts with great community partners! 💚💙

A huge THANK YOU to Village Chapel for providing breakfast for our KMS 7/8 teachers on the first day of school! 🥐☕🍳

Starting a new school year takes a lot of energy, and having breakfast waiting for our staff was a wonderful way to kick off the morning. We truly appreciate your generosity, encouragement, and continued support of our teachers and school community.

🦅 A GREAT FIRST WEEK AT KMS! 💚💙

What an incredible way to kick off the new school year at Kannapolis Middle School 7/8!

We started with an outstanding Open House, welcoming a packed building of students and families who were excited to meet teachers, find classrooms, and prepare for the year ahead. That energy carried right into our first week!

A special thank you to Bethel Baptist Church for joining us to greet our students as they arrived at school. The smiles, high-fives, cheers, and words of encouragement helped make our students feel welcomed and reminded them that our entire community is behind them.

Throughout the week, our students have been getting acclimated to their schedules, learning routines and expectations, reconnecting with friends, building relationships with their teachers, and settling into what it means to be a KMS Eagle.

There is nothing quite like seeing our hallways filled with students again. Thank you to our staff, families, students, and community partners for helping us start the year on such a positive note.

Week One is officially in the books, and we are just getting started!

What a fantastic first day of school! It was wonderful to welcome our students back to campus. The excitement, positive attitudes, and enthusiasm throughout the building made for a great start to what promises to be an outstanding school year. Thank you for helping your child arrive prepared and ready to learn.
As we continue to fine-tune our procedures, please keep the following reminders in mind:
Morning Car Riders: Please use Virginia Dare Street to enter our morning drop-off line.
Afternoon Car Riders: Please use Azalea Avenue to enter campus for afternoon pickup.
Bus Transportation: If you did not request bus transportation before the start of the school year, please note that it may take up to 10 school days to receive a bus assignment. Our school will contact you as soon as a bus has been assigned to your student.
Bus 452: Until we are able to secure a permanent driver, Bus 452 will be running two routes. Students assigned to the second route will need to remain at school until the bus completes its first route and returns to pick them up. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with the transportation department to resolve this staffing need.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work together to ensure a safe and successful school year for all of our students.
We look forward to another great day tomorrow!

⛳ First Official Golf Practice of the Year! 🦅

We officially hit the course for our first golf practice of the year! It was great seeing our student-athletes out there learning, competing, and putting in the work.

We’re excited to watch this team grow, improve, and represent KMS throughout the season. The journey starts now! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️
