A few highlights from last week!
Our learners participated in yoga where they learned that “Peace Begins With Me.”
Some of our learners also participated in the game mantis to practice social emotional learning!
All of our learners completed science labs, but we only got pictures from our middle school group who discovered they could inflate a balloon using just hot and cold water!
We’re looking forward to wrapping up our final week of block 1 of the 26-27 school year.

To end our first week back, our K-8 learners had a blast with a water/game/movie day! Our high schoolers celebrated by taking their first community based outing of the year!

Our center service dog is also clearly ecstatic that her kiddos are all back in the building after a long two week break!

We are already so proud of the progress we’re seeing and the hard work our learners are putting in each day 🫶🏽✨

We can’t wait to continue learning and growing through our 26-27 calendar year!

Emotional regulation can look like this!

Our learner was feeling some big feelings and having a hard time with self regulation.

We went to the sensory room and played with yoga blocks and an exercise ball until we were ready to talk through what we were feeling and then return to class. Building and bowling our way back to a regulated state!

We always hold space for our feelings and find ways to find regulation again. Sometimes that looks like play. Sometimes it looks like laying in a dark room with a weighted blanket. Sometimes it looks like spinning on top of our octagon roller!

Follow along as we find new ways regulate all year long!
