Good afternoon Storm families. In effort to assist in reducing 2nd loads in the afternoon, we will be splitting Route 503 in the afternoons only for the time being.

Any students in the Cloisters, Southgate, or off of Tuckasegee Rd. will now be on Route 162 in the afternoons.
Any students on Clearwater Lake or Scott St will be on Bus 501 in the afternoons.
Any students in Deerfield, Stroupe, Abernathy, or Alex Dr. will be Bus 522 in the afternoons.

Due to having more morning riders, Route 503 will still be active in the mornings and the students on that route will remain the same.

Hello Storm families. Route 162 (currently using bus 54) will be approximately 30 minutes late this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon due to elementary routes before coming to Stuart Cramer. The route is expected to depart from SCHS shortly after 4:00 PM both days. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you and have a great day!

Storm Forecast for the week of August 31, 2026

School Pictures will be on Wednesday, September 2nd. This is for all underclassmen for the yearbook and forms to purchase pictures were sent home the first week of school. Seniors, your make-up picture day will be September 28th with underclassmen make-ups.

As a reminder, at dismissal, all car riders should report to the car circle. Students should not be picked up from the student parking lot or walk off campus through the front drive or through the back bus lot for the safety of both students and drivers. Thank you for your assistance with keeping all students safe.

Student Drivers- If you haven't purchased a Parking Pass by completing the form can be picked up in student services or online through our website. Students have until the end of this week to purchase their pass. You can pay at student services with cash or check or online at https://gcs.schoolcashonline.com., but you must complete a parking pass form. You can access the form by clicking on the school website.

Congratulations to our sports teams on their wins this week. Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams beat Burns, Palisades and Forestview. Varsity Football team on their wins against Forestview Thursday Night.

This week, Girls Volleyball will be at home on Tuesday against Lincolnton. The remainder of our teams will play away this week or have a bye week. To check our athletic events please visit our school website, attached calendar or Athletics page for details on specific events.

Online tickets are available to purchase for any of our home games through our online ticketing system, HomeTown Ticketing. You can purchase single game tickets or an online sports pass for all games this year. To access HomeTown Ticketing, please visit our school website under athletics. As a reminder, all events, including sports, on our SCHS campus follow a no bags allowed policy and everyone is metal detected for safety.

Game Delay Update: Due to current lightning in the area, we are delaying the opening of the gates for tonight’s game against North Gaston. We anticipate a delayed start to ensure the safety of our players, staff, and fans. Once the radar shows the area is clear and we have met the required safety window with no additional lightning, we will open the gates and allowing fans in the stadium. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize everyone’s safety.
