Welcoming in a new chapter this week as a Behavioral Health Coach for children, teens, and families with 🌟

The decision to mom and work is a tough one for sure. But knowing that I get to be a part of an incredible company that is transforming mental health care for young people is what makes it worth it. Plus I have to admit, I’ve really missed coaching with families!

Bonus- I get a “corner office” and get this little peanut popping in for hugs in between meetings 💖 Feeling like the luckiest mama in the world!

I’m not a big fan of resolutions 😬 By setting this externally focused “goal”, it’s as if I’m telling myself that what I already have and who I already am isn’t enough 💖

I am, however, a fan of setting intentions 💫Whether it’s when I step onto my yoga mat, when I start a new week, or when I ring in a new year. Intentions are internally focused, nothing on the outside even has to change. An intention is the way we desire to BE as we approach a situation, time, or state. It’s not about the outcome, it’s about the journey 🗺

In yoga, intention setting is called “sankalpa” 🙏🏻 It is a will of the heart and mind to stay focused on being that which we want to create. It’s a deep knowing that, regardless of the outcome, it’s our intentions that speak our truth.

My practice looks a lot different these days, and I’m 💯% ok with that.

It looks like a 30 minute live class during Olivia’s tummy time. A few quick poses mid-walk at the park. Pausing to breath as I cuddle my baby girl 😌

As life gets back to “normal” (what’s really normal as a new mom in a Covid world?!), I’m excited that my teaching is able to grow and shift along with my new life. Full time coaching with Noom, full time mom, but I’m still excited to share my love of yoga with anyone who needs it.

Join me for a 35 minute virtual flow every Thursday at 4pm. Get in, get on your mat, get chill, and get on with your day 🙌🏻 (pets and kids are welcome 😉)

Hi friends and happy 2020! It has been a minute, but I think that’s a good thing 🤓The past several months have brought more abundance in unexpected ways than I imagined. While no new countries or crazy underwater yoga was involved, I stayed on dry homeland to continue growing my life from the inside out. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I kicked my coaching up a level as a health and lifestyle coach for the best company in the world, Noom 🧡 I witnessed leaps of growth from my last Own Your Life clients of 2019 and am gearing up for more in 2020✨ I nursed my injured pup back from a vicious dog attack 🐶 I expanded my toolbelt as an online, private, and group yoga teacher of all abilities🧘🏼‍♀️ I met the most wonderful man, life partner, and friend and, within the year, will be creating new life 💕⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Of course, with reprioritization always comes fear, pain, and letting go or shelving of some dreams. I know I’ll finish my 500 hour YTT, I know I’ll lead more retreats. I know I’ll dive in the Philippines.... One day. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’m not one for temporary New Years intentions or big sweeping lists of goals. Instead, my guiding light for this year will be one word: T R U S T 🙏🏻⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Trust the process. Trust the pain. Trust the worrying. Trust the lonely nights. Trust the unknown. Trust that when you have no idea what to do next and feel lost, the next step will appear. ⁣⁣

Day by day, step by step. No more, no less.

Y’all, travel isn’t easy. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’m not talking the stay in nice hotels and go on river cruises type of travel. I’m talking leaping into the country, the culture, taking some risks and leaving some pieces unplanned type of travel.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I recently had the opportunity to follow my windy road for two weeks through Portugal and Italy. 🇵🇹 🇮🇹 ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Highs👍🏻: leading my first yoga retreat and sharing the experience with the most warm and lovely people; wandering Lisbon with my favorite Aussie friend when I thought I’d be alone; embracing the true southern Italian culture with my new family and friends in Bari 👏🏻⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Lows👎🏻: drinking the water and experiencing puking exorcism convulsions; nonstop diarrhea for a week (lovely I know); unplanned retreat guest travel delays; the loudest hostel snorer I’ve ever experienced; having no clue what was going on for three days as I lived like a local in a town without English speakers 😂⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Lessons learned (and re-learned) 🤓: Don’t drink the water. Embrace uncertainty ALWAYS. Have a solid plan, then release attachment to it. In the case of southern Italy, get comfortable having no plan at all! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Experiences are better when shared. You don’t need to speak the same language or have much of anything in common to learn and grow from each other. Love is universal 💫⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Many of my close friends know that the past few months have been ones of huge transition. Of building my dreams from the inside out- meaning, the inner work that is silent but immense. Of maintaining the spark and courage to continue living outside of my comfort zone, in all the ways. Of the necessary struggles that come with launching a business (or in my case, a few) at the same time. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
The past few months have held for me a season of discomfort. And yet all along, a faith that as long as I kept my vision, the spark would turn to a flame. There’s a spark in all of us that at times needs stoking through an inward growth process that only comes with time and awareness. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
As I wake up in Portugal each morning to lead a powerful group of people from all over the world on this retreat, I am overcome with a sense of gratitude and fulfillment that I have been waiting for. Months and years of building a vision that is now being grown and stoked by all of the beautiful souls around me.⁣⁣⁣⁣

This week, this retreat, is only the beginning. Just as this season is transitioning into one of new abundance and gratitude, the energy and love of the new and old friends here feeds our souls and inspires us to live bigger, to tune into our deepest desires and express our highest selves.⁣⁣⁣⁣
