💥 Chemistry in action at STEM Skool!

Last week, students explored physical and chemical changes with two crowd favorites: Diet Coke + Mentos and Elephant Toothpaste.

Both produce spectacular bursts of gas, but the science behind them is completely different. Diet Coke + Mentos demonstrates a physical process called nucleation, while Elephant Toothpaste creates a warm, foamy eruption through an exothermic chemical decomposition reaction.

Big reactions. Real chemistry. Lots of excitement.

🎨 What an incredible afternoon!

Thank you to Jerrard K. Polk for leading such an engaging Character Design & Creative Careers in Illustration workshop. Our students loved learning about the creative process while exploring digital illustration and designing their own characters.

We’re also grateful to Nine Eighteen Nine Studio Gallery for hosting us inside the VAPA Center and for helping create such a welcoming space for creativity and learning.

We love connecting students with artists, innovators, and professionals throughout our community.

📣 We're excited to introduce Math Mondays, a new opportunity for students to learn, collaborate, and grow together.

Designed for students in 7th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry, Math Mondays pairs a structured mathematics curriculum with weekly small-group instruction, collaborative problem solving, and guidance from STEM Skool instructors.

More than a weekly math class, Math Mondays connects students to the broader STEM Skool community through field trips, guest speakers, STEM competition opportunities, mentorship, and STEM career exploration throughout the year.

Whether your student is looking to strengthen mathematical understanding, build confidence, or connect with other homeschool learners, Math Mondays provides a welcoming community where students can grow together.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our Future City teams for a wonderful 2025-26 season!

Our challenge this year was to design a city that solves food waste challenges 100 years into the future. Our high school and middle school teams were absolutely brilliant in meeting this engineering design challenge head-on, with our middle school team taking home **4th place in the state!**

This is our third year in a row with a top 5 finish! So proud of our students!
