If you're an internationally educated nurse, you've probably heard the term Board of Nursing before, but do you know what they actually control?

Each U.S. state/territory has its own Board of Nursing that decides who is eligible to sit for the NCLEX®, which credentials they’ll accept, and how international nursing education gets evaluated.

That's why getting the right credential evaluation report (one that speaks the BON's language) matters so much.

Navigating an employment-based immigration case? Your education and experience qualifications are unique, and sometimes, a standard application isn't enough to tell the full story.

Certain immigration cases benefit from an independent Expert Opinion Letter that speaks directly to an applicant's specialized qualifications and their direct relationship to their work in the U.S.

IEE is proud to offer comprehensive Expert Opinion Letter services for individuals represented by a law firm. If you think this service could strengthen your case, have your immigration attorney reach out to us to get started.

Internationally educated nurse ready to work in the U.S.? There's one requirement you can't skip. 🚨

Any noncitizen seeking to work in the U.S. as an RN or LPN/LVN is required by law to obtain a Health Care Worker (HCW) Certificate from a USCIS-approved organization. This certificate verifies your education, training, licensure, experience, and English proficiency.

Without it, you can't move forward with your visa.

As one of the few USCIS-authorized organizations to issue the HCW Certificate, IEE GlobalBridge™ simplifies the process with quick turnaround times, a fully online process, and 24/7 live support.

The global reputation of Filipino nurses for skill, compassion, and resilience was built on the shoulders of trailblazers like Anastacia Giron-Tupas and Julita Villaruel Sotejo.

Anastacia Giron-Tupas (1890–1972) became the first Filipina chief nurse and superintendent of the Philippine General Hospital and was instrumental in creating the 1919 law that first regulated and professionalized nursing practice in the Philippines.

Julita Villaruel Sotejo (1906–2003) championed university-level nursing education, which directly led to the founding of the University of the Philippines College of Nursing in 1948, setting a world-class academic standard that Filipino nurses carry to this day.

Their legacy lives on in every internationally educated Filipino nurse pursuing their calling around the world. 🇵🇭
