Friday FUN at Boger Elementary School! 🎉

Students and staff at Boger Elementary School kicked off their Friday morning with a special welcome from Trojan football players at the car rider line! But that was just the beginning of the FUN!

After exceeding their PTO fundraising goal, Boger celebrated in a BIG way with an inflatable costume obstacle course race at the high school football stadium! From administrators and teachers to support staff and their SRO, everyone got in on the action!

And the prize for winning? Bragging rights, of course! But the real reward was a morning full of laughter, fun, and memories! Swipe to see all the Friday FUN at Boger! ✨💙😂

We asked the Spiders at Concord High School to share their favorite school lunches, and their answers did not disappoint! After hearing their responses, we might need to make a trip to the cafeteria ourselves, especially to try the Walking Tacos!

At the October 12, 2026, Board of Education meeting, we recognized our Hilbish Ford Teacher of the Month for October, Mr. Neal Lensenmayer, a strings teacher at Concord High School who also lends his musical talents to classes at Cox Mill High School.

Mr. Lensenmayer is known for his kindness, encouragement, and ability to make learning fun! From greeting students with a smile each morning to reminding them that it's okay to make mistakes, he creates a classroom where students feel supported and inspired to grow.

The student who nominated him shared, "If I listed out every good thing I have to say about him, we'd be here forever. He's a great teacher and just a great person in general, and he deserves recognition as a teacher of the month." Congratulations, Mr. Lensenmayer! Also, a big thank you to Hilbish Ford for continuing to support and celebrate our incredible teachers! ✨🎻❤️

Know before you vote!

Early voting for the November 3 general election begins today, Thursday, October 15. Cabarrus County voters will also consider a proposed $340 million school bond referendum for Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools.

If approved by voters, the bond would fund the on-site replacement of Central Cabarrus High School, conceptual design work for a future southern high school, and facility maintenance projects such as roof, HVAC, plumbing, and parking lot projects at schools across the district.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close today, students in Ms. Espinoza’s Spanish classes at Cox Mill High School are celebrating through dance! Smiles and good company were on the menu this morning at Cox Mill High School! Staff kicked off their teacher workday with a delicious breakfast generously donated by Haas Factory Team before a day of professional development and classroom planning.

Calling all CCS student artists! 🎨

The 2026 Superintendent’s Holiday eCard Contest is officially open! This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays!” ✨🏠❤️

🏆 Six winners will have their artwork featured in the Superintendent’s official holiday communications, receive a prize pack from sponsors Uwharrie Bank and Edward Jones, and be recognized at a Board of Education Business Meeting.

🖌️ Traditional Art Contest: Open to all elementary, middle, and high school students. Bring this year’s theme, “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays,” to life! Create original artwork on 8.5 × 11-inch white, non-glossy paper or cardstock.

🖍️ Coloring Contest: Open to students in Pre-K through second grade using the official CCS coloring pages.

🗓️ Entry deadline: November 25, 2026 by Noon
📧 Winners notified: December 3, 2026
