2nd grade had a wonderful time at the NC zoo! The children got to see some of the animals they have been learning about during their life cycle unit. Thank you to the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Learning Happens Here Field Trip Fund that help make this trip possible.

Join us in the media center at Westerly Hills Academy on February 25th, 2026, 5:30pm-6:30pm, for an evening of financial planning with TD Bank. TD Bank will provide financial tips and guidance. Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), Charlotte Area Fund, and Charlotte Works will be present. CPCC will provide information about their GED program as well as College and Career Readiness programs. Charlotte Area Fund will share information about programs they offer that assist with gaining the skills and abilities necessary to achieve self-sufficiency such as job training and workforce preparation. Charlotte Works will educate about connecting job seekers with employment opportunities and equipping job seekers with essential skills training for employment.
