Huge thank you to NASCAR for bringing in an incredible panel of professionals to speak with our 7th grade STEM students today! 🏁

Our students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the science, technology, engineering, and teamwork that power the sport. From data analytics to car design, it was an inspiring and eye-opening experience that made real-world connections to what we’re learning in the classroom.

We are so grateful for your time, insight, and commitment to inspiring the next generation! 🚗💡

Attention parents of current 6th and 7th grade students! There will be an athletic information meeting on Tuesday, May 12th at 6pm in the gym to will go over athletic registration for next school year. The meeting with cover topics such as- expectations for athletes and information about new changes that are coming to middle school athletics in Cabarrus County. We will also discuss the dates for opportunities for summer workouts. Middle School Athletics is one of many great ways for our students to build a sense of belonging and community at school. We hope to see you all there.

Big shoutout to Kiee Grant for helping one of our scholars get ready for her 8th Grade Formal! We truly appreciate her generosity and support of our students

Students in 7th grade today created photo collages that added imagery to the words of there current chapter book for Module 4, Fever 1793. The students used text annotations to create the captions for the historic photos and illustrations . This activity highlights their creativity and collaboration skills.

Today at CCGMS we hosted Roman Chariot Races engineered by 6th grade Social Studies students and powered by Sphero robots. Learning is fun when history is connected to the future with wonderful STEM lessons.

Congratulations to our CCGMS chorus and our CCGMS band at their competitions in Pigeon Forge, TN this past weekend. We are so proud of their outstanding accomplishments and how well they represented our school. Our chorus received a Superior ranking, and our band received an Excellent ranking. We also want to shout out the dedication, leadership, and hard work of Mrs. Gambrell and Mr. Partridge. Thank you also to our staff, PTSO, and parents for your support throughout the trip! Our creative arts program is demonstrating our motto of Soaring to Excellence!
