Last week was a busy one. I finished up Classroom Educator trainings with 3 groups of teachers in 2 private schools that I started in May and August. 30 teachers in all were trained in the OG Approach. I heard lots of great examples of how they are implementing the OG Approach in their classrooms. I’m excited to follow their journey as they continue to implement their new knowledge.

A very informative article on the problems with how reading is taught today and how we should be teaching. The comments by Kenneth Goodman near the end are appalling.
How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't know there's anything wrong with it.
I spent last week training a fabulous group of private school teachers at the Classroom Educator Level. We had a primo training facility and a group of very dedicated enthusiastic teachers.
