📌Who: Claire Ave'Lallemant is a Charlotte-based documentary editor. She chose to forgo the traditional college path and pursue hands-on education which she received as an assistant editor on Cecilia Aldarondo’s feature documentary, MEMORIES OF A PENITENT HEART (Tribeca 2016). After assisting on several features, she has gone on to edit documentary series such as CHOIR (Disney+ 2024), THE PHARMACIST (Netflix, 2020) and DOGS (Netflix, 2018 & 2021). Her recent feature projects include DROWNING IN SILENCE (Santa Barbara International Film Festival, 2022) and FLIPSIDE (Toronto International Film Festival, 2023). She believes that documentary editing is inherently writing and seeks to shed light on the unique challenges of crafting a story without a script.

📌What: A gathering of documentary filmmakers and those interested in documentary filmmaking. Remarks by Canon and/or Tony plus remarks by Julie then our featured speaker, Claire will share stories from her documentary journey.
