Thursday at 7pm Jesus Is Lord-Community Bible Study Lesson-The Creation of Man and Our Mission on this earth. Study from the Book of Genesis
The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man (Adamah) became a living being.
God breathed life into the formed figure signifies infusion of the divine spiritual aspect into the the earthly creation, bringing the first man to life. Use of the ground or dust is the earthly or material aspect of human existence. It is the substance from which God shaped the first human being - Genesis 2:7
Both humans and animals are described as being formed from the dust of the earth. The book of Genesis shows us the intimate connection between all living beings and all the physical world.
The distinction between the man and animals is God not only formed man from the dust of the ground but he also breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. This set the man apart as possessing a spiritual and divine element.
On Thursday, we will continue in the Word to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us who we are and whoes we are. Also, what our mission is on the earth.
