Student Support Services

The Student Support Services (SSS) Program at Johnson C.

Smith University (JCSU) is

a federally funded educational opportunity outreach program designed to motivate and support

students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Its purpose is to increase the retention and graduation

rates for low- income, first-generation and disabled students. The services provided are aimed at

combating problems related to inadequate academic preparation, poor college readiness skills,

low academic self-confidence and other problems our students face.
