🥈 HISTORY MADE FOR REAL AMERICAN GRAPPLING! 🇺🇸

Bodhi Kapoor went 2–1 to earn SILVER at the 2026 IBJJF Pan Kids No-Gi Championship—becoming the first kid from our academy to medal at a major! 🔥

Making this moment even more special, my son Juda was in his corner coaching him. Proud of Bodhi for his hard work and heart, and proud of Juda for stepping up and leading!

Help us congratulate these two! 👏💪

The next episode of Love Your Local streams this Tuesday! This time, we’re headed to Steele Creek where Charlotte gym Real American Grappling trains students of all ages in martial arts including Jiu Jitsu. Coach Michael Allen says a big goal for him is to increase diversity in the sport, so that everyone has access to the discipline, health benefits and self-defense techniques the sport has to offer. I sit down with him to learn about the growing martial arts scene in Charlotte and close community it’s building.

Watch Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 12:30p or on-demand on the WCNC+ streaming app. We’re on Roku, FireTV, Apple TV and Samsung!

I’m emotional just thinking about this. Tiffany represents everything the Black Belt stands for. 15 years of hard work, dedication, and passion. Unlike many fighters who just use jiu jitsu as a stepping stone, Tiffany truly lived the journey. I feel honored to have been a part of her training. Congrats, Tiffany! You’ve come a long way, Pikachu 🥲

Every Sunday at 10:00 AM, our Team Fundamentals class is led by Brown Belt World Champion Lindsay Orr. Every other week, a guest instructor joins her to introduce a new fundamental technique, giving students a well-rounded learning experience. This class continues to grow, and we’re excited to see the momentum building. Whether you’re new to jiu jitsu or looking to sharpen your fundamentals, we’d love to have you on the mat with us

This is what it’s all about.

Not just techniques. Not just belts.
But building something bigger than all of us.

From the youngest on the mat to the leaders behind them, this is a room full of growth, discipline, confidence, and future productive citizens in the making.

Every smile here represents hard work.
Every belt represents earned progress.
Every person here is part of something real.

Proud of this crew. Proud of this culture.

We’re just getting started.

Some people say they’re about it…
Others prove it.

Jonathan Myers isn’t just one of my brown belts,he’s family. Moved up to Maryland and still got on a plane just to come back and train with us. That tells you everything you need to know.

Loyalty. Commitment. Love for the grind.

This isn’t just a gym. This is something different.
This is built on relationships, not convenience.

Respect, brother. Always got a home here. 🤝
