Can you relate to your mind being overcome with unhealthy "thought" vines?
Many times, our thinking patterns are deeply ingrained from things that were told to us or things we have told ourselves.
Unhealthy thought patterns can limit us and keep out the positive thinking that would feed our bodies, minds, and spirits. So, what do you do?
I think about pulling overgrown vines in my backyard.
- First, I have to take the time to see them. Recognize how they have started to overtake the area.
- Second, I need to begin to unwind them from the plants with which they have entangled themselves.
- Third, I need to be gentle because I don't want to hurt or damage the underlying plant.
- Fourth, I want to ultimately get to the source, the root of that vine (line of thinking).
- Fifth, as I create space for the sun to reach that beautiful plant and space in my yard, I need to pause and take in what I have accomplished.
What thinking "vines" do you need to begin to untangle? The Book, Awakening the Light, is a guidebook for just this work. www.survivorstothrivers.com/buy-the-book/
