As I see all the graduation posts, classrooms being packed up for summer, and families celebrating what’s next, it feels like a good time to reflect.
Not every child is going to college or trade school and that’s okay. Success looks different for every person. What matters most is celebrating each individual for reaching their own goals, growing in confidence, and achieving their personal best.
At LH Education, we believe every individual deserves meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and build independence.
That’s why we are preparing to open the doors to an adult vocational and educational facility focused on life skills, learning, and real-world experiences for individuals with disabilities.

Every share, donation, and word of encouragement helps us move one step closer. 💚

LH Education values alternative ways of learning, from real world experiences, project based learning, and a multi-age classroom where everyone learns at their own pace. One of the most valuable tools in a classroom isn’t always found in a textbook, sometimes it’s a classroom store.
A classroom store teaches far more than simple math skills. It creates real-world opportunities for students to learn:
• Money management
• Budgeting
• Delayed gratification
• Responsibility
• Work ethic
• Decision-making
• Executive functioning skills
• The value of completing tasks
When students earn classroom “money” through participation, kindness, completing assignments, or demonstrating responsibility, they begin to connect effort with outcomes.
They learn important life lessons:
- If I save, I can purchase something bigger later.
- If I spend impulsively, I may not have enough next time.
- My choices matter.
- Responsibility has value.
For many students, especially those who benefit from hands-on or functional learning, these experiences are far more meaningful than worksheets alone.
Classroom stores also create opportunities for practicing communication, social interaction, problem solving, and independence in a safe environment.
Life skills can be taught in creative ways, and sometimes the smallest classroom systems create the biggest long-term impact.

It’s time to stop being quiet in the background. Now is the time to dream big and know we can do more…
Families deserve more, our children (and adult children) deserve more and we will give it to them.
Imagine a location with services from preschool to adult vocational and day camp programs. Where individuals can be themselves, learn to do great things, and be themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.

Hiring individuals with disabilities isn’t just an act of inclusion, it’s a smart business decision.
Employees with disabilities consistently bring strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a high level of dedication to their work. Many employers report increased retention, improved workplace culture, and stronger team collaboration when they prioritize inclusive hiring.
Beyond performance, there’s impact. When businesses open their doors to individuals of all abilities, they help build a more equitable workforce and reflect the diverse communities they serve.
Inclusion isn’t about lowering expectations—it’s about removing barriers and creating opportunities for talent to shine.
If we want stronger teams, more innovative workplaces, and more connected communities, inclusive hiring has to be part of the conversation.

What things are easy now that you never thought would be easy?
Make sure you share those stories with the people you mentor! They need to know that you weren't always as good as you are now!
