OUR ROADMAP FOR THE FUTURE | Strategic Plan 2026–2031

Where are we going as a school system, and how will we know we are making progress? The Anson County Schools 2026–2031 Strategic Plan provides that roadmap.

Developed with input from students, staff, families, school and district leaders, and community partners, the plan establishes clear priorities and measurable goals that will guide our work over the next five years.

Our work is centered around four priorities:

This is more than a document. It is our commitment to our students, employees, families and community, and our roadmap for moving Anson County Schools forward.

This Strategic Plan is a living, actionable plan that will be at the forefront of the work we do every day. It will guide our decisions, shape our priorities and help us measure our progress. We will live it through our work, our actions and our commitment to every student we serve.

Football Parking Update -
Due to ongoing construction with the main athletic entrance to AHS Football Stadium, all traffic should use the student parking lot as entrance & exit tonight. This will be the 2nd entrance on the right on AHS Road.

A middle school swim program, right here in Anson County!

Another opportunity for our students to discover a talent, find their place, build confidence and prepare for what comes next.

Future Bearcat swimmers, this is for YOU!

The Anson Middle School Swim Club is a developmental program created to introduce middle school students to swimming, strengthen their skills, build confidence in the water, and prepare them for the opportunity to become members of the Anson High School Swim Team in the future!

Our goal is simple: build strong swimmers now and create a strong feeder program for Anson High School Swimming. 🐾

The AMS Swim Club is not a competitive team and does not have a regular competition schedule. Our focus is on learning, improving stroke technique, building endurance and preparing students for high school swimming. If opportunities to compete become available along the way, we may explore those opportunities!

No competitive swim experience is required. Students must:
🏊 Be able to swim the freestyle stroke
💦 Feel comfortable and confident in the water
📋 Have a current physical on file

SEPTEMBER SWIM WORKOUTS
📅 September 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30
⏰ 4:00–5:00 p.m.
📍 Little Park Pool | Wadesboro

Swimming is also a great full-body workout that builds endurance, strength and overall conditioning, making it great cross-training for students who participate in other sports!

🚗 Families are responsible for transportation to and from all swim workouts.

Come learn. Improve. Build confidence. And maybe become a future Anson High School swimmer!

Swimming is back for YEAR TWO at Anson High School, giving our students another opportunity to compete, grow, belong and discover something new.

And this is just one of the many opportunities available to students in our public schools.

When choosing where your child will learn and grow, consider the whole experience, because opportunities matter.
