The wait is over and Radio Podcasting Week 2026 has officially kicked off at Charlotte Youth Broadcasting Camp™️!

Our very first camper to walk through the doors this morning: Gavan! 👉 This is his 2nd year joining us at . We are happy to have his familiar face back in the studio and to see what he creates this summer!

At Charlotte Youth Broadcasting Camp™ our turned into investigative journalists for a visit from Meteorologist Brandon Lawson of Queen City News. 🌦️🎥

Meteorologist Brandon Lawson shared his incredible broadcasting journey and sat down for an amazing, interactive Q&A session, making sure to 🎤💭 answer every single question our curious campers threw his way.

He dropped vital industry nuggets on the importance of what it really takes to launch a successful career in broadcasting. Our campers walked away completely inspired and ready to conquer the !

Our kicked off the 2026 News Reporting week at Charlotte Youth Broadcasting Camp™ by diving straight into the big leagues! We were incredibly honored to welcome nationally renowned voiceover coach Susan Murphy as our very first guest speaker, on the very 1st day of camp.

Mrs. Murphy dropped major master-level insights on 🎤communication, teaching our campers how to present from the gut, project their voices, and truly master their professional presence.

It was the perfect foundation because guess what? She was preparing our campers for their massive live news debut on WCCB News Rising 📺 the very next day!

Thanks to 🤗 Mrs. Murphy's expert pointers on eye contact, breathing, and delivering words effectively, our rising stars absolutely crushed it on a real live news set!
