Shout out to HG alum Daniel Asala (‘21) who is the manager at Papa John’s Pizza -9335 N. Tryon Street. Daniel graciously provided all of the pizza for the 8th grade end of year celebration. That’s a lot of pizza pie. He proactively fed out newest upcoming high school students who will eventually become HG alumni. Serving like a Lion!

Senior graduation practice followed by the tradition of the seniors “running the halls” while ringing the bell as loudly as possible. Since Covid the run has been done outside while the whole school celebrates with our seniors. Graduation night is on the horizon…Alums, take a moment to remember your senior year at the Grove.
Our Alumni Board President, Matthew Helton ‘11, spoke an encouraging word to our seniors before their practice. The Booster Club/Alumni Association provides a gift to each senior as well.

Grateful to the HG alumni who participated in the AAA Booster Club's golf tournament on May 1.
The 26th Annual HGCS Golf Tournament was held at the newly renovated Pine Lake Country Club.
Through the generosity of our sponsors, players, volunteers, and alumni, this year’s tournament raised $96,000 for the AAA Booster Club, benefiting Academics, Arts, and Athletics at Hickory Grove Christian School.
We are especially grateful to our alumni who participated and contributed to making this year’s tournament such a success. The continued investment from our alumni and school community leaves a lasting impact on our students and programs year after year.

Excitement is in the air at HG! Our sports fields are in constant use this spring, hosting everything from Varsity Baseball and Softball to Varsity Women’s Soccer and Varsity Track and Field.
Recently the senior athletes for spring sports were honored for their dedication to HG athletics and leadership on and off the fields.
To all our alumni: it’s a perfect time of year to look back on your own senior year and reflect on everything you were involved in during your time as an HG student. Those memories are a special part of the legacy you left behind!

An absolute pleasure to see these two HG alums - Joshua Orugboh (‘18) & John Grabowski (‘18) - visit campus recently. We always want to welcome you back to the Grove…invitation reminder extended!
The visit provided a special opportunity for them to reconnect with our head of school, Dr. Quesinberry, as well as former teachers and coaches.

This year marks the 11th anniversary of our International Festival- an event that has grown from a student-led initiative into a highlight of our school year.
The festival was first launched by a small group of international students studying at HG through our school’s International Student Program, which began in 2013.
Shoutout to all the HG students who hosted a table to showcase their culture! Your energy and participation made this year’s festival a huge success.

Recently,HG hosted 30 Christian colleges on campus for a college fair. Representatives consistently commented on the welcoming atmosphere and were impressed by how engaged our students were in their conversations.
The fair welcomed over 300 attendees - our largest turnout yet.
Thanks to the leadership of Tracey Bennett, Dr. Mildred Similton, Jacqui Williams and Adam Hamilton, the Guidance Dept. made this gathering a success.
We look forward to another great event in 2027!
