Good Afternoon, Lion Families,
This is Mr. Winston with your weekly update.
-First, thank you to the members of our PTO who gave their time before and after school to help facilitate our raffle for a free car detailing certificate valued at $75 and a $25 gas card. Congratulations to the holder of the winning ticket, 6088933! Please contact the front office to redeem your prize. You have three business days to claim your prize before we draw another ticket, so if you still have your tickets, don’t throw them away just yet! Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our school.
-As a reminder, school pictures will be taken this Tuesday. All students and staff will have their pictures taken, so be sure to look your best! Families can use the link below to pre-order pictures: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vG8bzFQxGvrqEfWeDNxqLA2h6uWbAnTn/view?usp=sharing
-It is hard to believe that we are only 12 days away from the end of the first nine weeks. As we approach the end of the quarter, it is imperative that parents and guardians regularly check grades and attendance through Infinite Campus. If you are still having trouble logging in, please contact the school and reach out to our data manager for assistance. We will no longer print report cards, so having access to Infinite Campus is essential for staying informed about your child’s academic progress and attendance. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s grades, please reach out directly to his or her teacher. We want to make sure that we are working together as a school and as families to support student success.
-In athletics this week, our softball team competed hard but dropped two games; our golf team once again finished in the top three, and our football team came up short. A special thank-you to our cheerleaders for continuing to support our teams and to all of our students and families who came out to support our athletes. Your presence makes a difference.
-Looking ahead, the County Championship Golf Match will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Cherryville Country Club. Football and Cheerleaders will have a game at Cramerton on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. Boys Soccer workouts will be held Monday and Wednesday from 3:45–5:15 p.m., and Volleyball workouts will be held Wednesday from 3:45–5:15 p.m. Boys Soccer and Volleyball tryouts will take place next Thursday and Friday from 3:45–5:30 p.m.
