Science got a little messy in Mrs. Parks’ class today! The students put their learning to the test by making oobleck during their States of Matter unit—and had a blast exploring its unique properties.

Science fact of the day brought to you by 3rd graders: Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid, meaning it acts like a solid when pressure is applied but flows like a liquid when left alone!

Today in Mr. Stover's class, students learned about teamwork with a STEM challenge! Students teamed up to build the tallest index card tower they could, but there was a catch: to add a card to their tower, teammates first had to find something they had in common. Students discovered new connections while putting their problem-solving skills to the test!

Students can apply for a variety of leadership opportunities throughout the school, each with unique responsibilities.
