Krav Maga is world-renowned as an extremely effective self-defense system. It is currently used by over 200 law enforcement agencies, in the US alone, and is practiced by untold numbers of everyday civilians looking to be safer and fitter. However, the truth is, there is little to no difference in the training and curricula offered by the seemingly ubiquitous organizations found around the world.

✨Russian Arm Appreciation Post ✨

Dear Russian Arm,
We do deeply value your ability to give us a second of control amongst chaos ✨

Your versatility for takedowns, new control positions, and even submissions is unrivaled ✨

And while there are counter options to you, we know you'll always be there amongst our transitions ✨

We hear a lot about PTSD
How a traumatic event can cause a stress disorder.

But this is to (re)introduce you to PTG.
How a traumatic event can lead to growth.

Adversity happens. Growth from adversity is a choice.

And it's not too late to make it.

Seek help. Conquer what conquered you. And grow.

Fit to Fight® FireARMED® 🔫

We've run this course twice in the last month and it exists weekly at HQ 💥

It's essential to a comprehensive understanding of self-defense and yet it remains overlooked and even avoided by many groups ❌

We aren't building expert marksmen or competition shooters 🫡

We are building fighters 👊 who understand how to fight no matter what the circumstance.

If you train in self-defense, at some point you should learn how to fight with a firearm 🔫 whether it's yours or one you procured from an attacker 💥

FireARMED® be armed, with knowledge.

"Monday" Motivation 🔥 for your Tuesday

Oh, how many ways could this be applied 😉

If you are doing things for the purpose of "credit" you will likely lose motivation often ❌

Find your intrinsic motivation ❤️
Give yourself credit 👑
and move on to what comes next 💪

From a training stand point, a lot of people lose their way focusing on what credit someone else gives them.

You won’t know every strike that lands.
You won’t know when you give someone a fight rolling.
And if you’re waiting on someone else for that validation you could be waiting awhile. ⏱

Take a minute to focus on why you do things - from work responsibilities, to family commitments, to training modalities. Find your why, measure your progress over time and stay focused.

It's a labor of love ❤️
A labor of artistry 🥊
And sometimes (most times?) a labor of pain 💥

We hope you had a great Labor Day, no matter how you did or didn't labor 😉

Nashville elementary school staff tackle intruder, forcing him to the ground 05/27/2022

“How the deadliest school shooting in modern history didn’t happen.”

“How a small local school remained relatively unknown to the world.”

“How ordinary people had incredible response times to end violence.”

This is the story that should be viral across the nation. This is the “thoughts, hopes, and prayers” that you’re looking for.

We know what happens when shooters get into a school. While the politicians and administrators argue over what to do, the people who are in these exposed environments can take very real action right now to protect themselves and others.

Even if you can’t find training in your area, you can study what’s been done here. Commit to paying attention. Commit to action. Commit to being your own first responder.

Monday Motivation

Keep moving. You can be in the best position in the world, but if all you do is stay there, you'll lose it.

In fighting, that means your opponent finds a way out. If they only have one problem to focus on, they'll find a way to deal with it.

In life, it usually manifests as complacency. It can oftentimes take over subtly but quickly. Continue to chase new goals and find victories every day.

Keep moving.

“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.”—Joseph Campbell

Monday Motivation

How long do you make the last bit of toothpaste last?

How much work do you get done the day before you’re going on vacation?

How long does it take to pack for a trip if you waited until an hour before you’re leaving?

In our daily lives, we regularly see how being up against a time clock, or low on resources, can give us the clarity we need to get things done.

The same holds true for fighting. Physically being against a wall, on the ground, having your oxygen restricted, or racing a time clock clarifies your priorities in that moment.

Of course, knowing your priorities isn’t enough. You also need the skills to tackle them. That’s where confined spaces training, vehicle assaults, wrestling, Jiu-jitsu, and more take precedence.

Put yourself up against a wall, on the ground, and race a time clock. Do you have what it takes to deal with what matters in those constraints?
