Barbara's Lighthouse

Every day, students in crisis come across my desk.

Families are overwhelmed and school staff members have often exhausted every strategy they know. That is where we step in to provide wraparound support, compassion, and hope.

Sometimes helping a child only requires a listening ear. Other times it demands extra hours after the workday ends, patient creativity, advocacy, or difficult conversations that no one else wanted to have.

The work is not always easy, but our children are worth the effort. Some students may require more support than others, yet every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and protected.

At Barbara’s Lighthouse, we believe no child should fall through the cracks simply because their pain is complicated.

We stand in the gap for families. We advocate for healing. We create space for restoration. Most importantly, we remind children that they are not defined by their struggles, their mistakes, or their hardest moments.
