To "abide in" is the same thing as to have a "relationship with." In John 15:1-5, Jesus calls us to have a relationship with Him, in which He is our preeminent source of life and goodness. It really is all about Jesus, we are nothing without Him. Therefore, as we face day-to-day life and the challenges that arise, we look to Him and we come to Him.
