Good evening, Busy Bee Families!

Science Night was such a great evening! It was amazing to see our students exploring, asking questions, and learning alongside you. Thank you for showing up and being part of it.

We have a busy and exciting week ahead!
Spring pictures will be taken on Tuesday, March 31st.

Our Snap Into Spring photo mini sessions continue, with our next session on April 11th. Spots are limited, so be sure to grab yours using the link on our page.

Field Day is coming up on April 1st, and we can’t wait for a fun day with our students.

Spring Break begins Friday, April 3rd. We hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break. Students will return on Monday, April 13th.

We are so proud of our Archaeolobees Robotics Team! 🐝🤖

Our team earned 2nd place in the teamwork challenge and did a great job with their robot runs. Their hard work, focus, and perseverance truly showed in everything they did.

Thank you to our coaches for giving their time and energy to support our students, to our students for putting in the work, and to our parents for continuing to support both our students and our school.

Busy Bee Families 🐝

Thank you to all of the parents who joined us for conferences last week. It truly takes teamwork between home and school to support our students, and we appreciate your partnership.

A few things happening this week:
• March 18th – Battle of the Books
• March 19th – Report Cards go home
• March 20th – Math Masters competition and 3rd grade field trip

Our spring fundraisers are still going strong!

Bunny Hop Fun Run- $5 entry
Students will run a one-mile course during the school day on March 27th and receive a treat at the finish.

Snap into Spring Photo Mini Sessions- $40
Professional photos with digital downloads, March 28th and April 11th

Spring is the perfect time to capture sweet family memories while supporting our Busy Bees!

Bessemer City Central is hosting Spring Photo Mini Sessions on March 28th and April 11th. Each 15-minute session is $40 and includes edited digital photos you can download and keep.

All funds raised will support student end-of-year celebrations and Teacher Appreciation Week.

On Wednesday, our 4th and 5th grade Busy Bees had a great time exploring different careers during our Career Fair!

Students had the opportunity to talk with professionals from local businesses, community leaders, public service, and many other fields to learn more about different career paths and start thinking about their futures.

A huge thank you to the 30 community partners and volunteers who took time out of their day to support our students. We are so grateful for a community that invests in our Busy Bees! 💛💚

We have some exciting things happening at Bessemer City Central this month!

Our March attendance challenge “Lucky to Learn” has begun. Students who are present and on time every day in March will earn a treat and be entered into a prize drawing.

Reminder:

Thursday, March 12th is a half day for students and parent teacher conferences. We will begin dismissal at 11:30.

Busy Bee Families 💚

March is here, and we are “Lucky to Learn” at BC Central!

Students who are present and on time every day in March will earn a special treat and be entered into a drawing to win an outdoor play kit. Attendance matters, and every day counts!

Starting Monday, March 2nd, we will celebrate Read Across America Week and America’s 250th birthday with special read-alouds, literacy activities, and themed reading days.

Important Dates:
March 12: Half Day for Students (Parent-Teacher Conferences)
March 13: No School for Students

Next week we are celebrating Read Across America Week and America’s 250th birthday. 🇺🇸

Students will participate in special read-alouds, classroom literacy activities, and themed reading days throughout the week.

This is the final week of our Show Up with Heart attendance challenge! Students who have been present and on time every day in February will earn a treat, and one student will win a pair of Beats headphones during Friday’s schoolwide morning meeting.

Looking ahead:

• The dental bus will be on campus February 23rd and 25th.

• Class pictures are February 27th.
