Celebrating our incredible teachers with a calming and immersive experience 🍵✨ A special thank you to Pauline’s Tea Bar for treating our staff to tea, fellowship, and a chance to relax and recharge. Paired with delicious pastries from Amélie’s, it was the perfect way to show appreciation for all our staff do each day. 💛

Prom season is in full swing, finals are around the corner, and graduation is almost here—but today we’re celebrating a successful National Decision Day! 🎓✨

Students had the opportunity to hear from inspiring guest speakers, reflect on their future plans, and enjoy a powerful spoken word performance from two of our own students. Whether the next step is college, career, military, or another pathway, we are proud to celebrate every student’s journey and future.

On National Principal’s Day, we also recognize and honor our leader, Ms. Matthews, who continues to champion student success and create opportunities to celebrate all students at Merancas. Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and commitment to our school community.

As the school year winds down, Merancas is finishing strong and making every moment count!

Day 3 of Sources of Strength was all about affirmations and creating links of strength with the people, passions, and supports that keep us moving forward each day. 💚

Students at Merancas are building connections, encouraging one another, and reflecting on the strengths they carry with them every day.

Yesterday was all about color, creativity, and connection! Students explored their unique sources of strength through hands-on activities that let their personalities shine.

🎨 Tie-Dye Time – Just like every shirt turned out differently, each student brings something special to our pack. From bold patterns to bright colors, their designs reflected individuality and confidence.

🖌️ Painting Our Strengths – Students used art to represent what makes them strong—kindness, bravery, creativity, perseverance, teamwork, and more. Every brushstroke told part of their story.

🧊 Freeze Pop Break – A sweet way to cool down, recharge, and connect with friends after a busy day of creating and reflecting.

The day reminded us that strength comes in many forms, and our school is brighter because of the unique gifts each student brings. 💛

Day 1 of Sources of Strength 💙

Today was all about connection, reflection, and support. Students started by completing a mood meter, sharing honest feelings and thoughtful responses to help lift each other up.

We passed around the “source ball,” giving everyone a chance to share what keeps them strong—family, friends, music, goals, and more. So many powerful reminders that no one is doing this alone.
We wrapped up with a stress less station, where students explored fidgets and calming strategies to manage big emotions in healthy ways. Oh yes, and it was pajama day!
