Although through a shadow of a doubt in the uncertainty of the American Theater of decay, we will continue to press on for our forefathers, for their intentions of a more just Union, and for the prosperity of our nation to live another day beyond the turmoil of corruption, and greed.

Through our own means, by our own hands, and with our own resources, we will prevail.

One of the cornerstones of our mission in upholding Southern Heritage as Southern History is to uplift the educational standpoints of an agrarian society, an independent living basis, and the just right to self-sufficiency.

The recent recommendation for a raised bed garden at our shared property at Old Lutheran Cemetery has intrigued the minds of our board and invested the hearts of our efforts to further engage with the community through front-line engagements, networking, and programs.

When the going gets tough, remember that darkness is temporary, but light always shows:

September 1st, 2026, this date marks the end of our event season and the beginning of our landscaping schedule and planning sessions.

Outside of visiting The Virginia Flaggers at their annual picnic to exchange our support, our next events won't be until October 10th where we'll host our Dixie Cruise-In at Old Lutheran Cemetery from 11:00am - 3:00pm and our second Legends of the South Walking Tour from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in downtown Salisbury at the Rowan County Administrative Building.

Following the closure of our now fifth annual Fame Preservation Group Barbecue Festival, we have extra financial support to undergo further needed beautification initiatives of our shared property at Old Lutheran Cemetery here behind the Fame Confederate Monument.

Exemplified by our outlined plans of installing bordered mulch flower beds, installing additional railroad ties along the parking lot, addressing utility poles without lights on the property to recieve new Duke Energy hookups, and outlining walking paths to complete the second stage of this green space; we will also be considering public recommendations for a raised bed community garden and other suggestions that will be detailed at our next September General Assembly Meeting on September 5th at Hendrix BBQ in Spencer, NC from 5:00pm - 6:30pm.

This backdrop is what everyone first complained about when Fame was moved, including us, and it has become our ultimate goal to make it as presentable and welcoming to our community and especially to the advocates for the Monument as it stands for local engagement, accessibility and educational opportunities moving forward.

We may not own Fame, but we take full responsibility for upholding her representation as a Confederate Monument as every advocate should for her and all other Monuments under threat of political judgment and hostilities:

It wouldn't be in our best interests to miss out of a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some railroad heritage units from many different companies showing their engines off with fresh coats of paint for America250 at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC.

Southern Heritage in particular for both Rowan County and North Carolina is alive and well at an amazingly maintained museum right here in our back yard showcasing so much history.

Come find us in the Town of Landis on their main street this Saturday from 4:00pm - 8:00pm as we'll be setup as local vendors to help celebrate the history and heritage of their community on the 125th Anniversary Celebration of their incorporation.

Landis as a hidden gem along the US Hwy 29 route and more notably, the Great Wagon Road trail that once connected the American Colonies from Pennsylvania all the way to Georgia where it has served the South for generations as a region and as a town following its creation on March 7th, 1901.

Today, it's a quiet community that gets the most of its noise from trains blowing through, but this weekend will be the most excitement they've seen in awhile where we'll be joined with various other vendors, live bands, and more to bring the Township together.
