I recently found a quote that hits me really hard.....
“Sometimes you think that you want to disappear, but all you really want is to be found”.
I think a lot of feel this way. We start to withdraw from our friends, our families and even ourselves as far as hobbies and .
We see all to often the darkness of humanity. It weighs deeply on our minds. We become jaded and cynical. Obviously no one wants to live like this, but all to often this becomes our reality. The good news is that there are quality organizations that exist for First Responders specifically.
If you are struggling please . If you know someone who may be struggling please as they may not be able to ask for help.

The job of any is to constantly being there for others in our community who possibly may be dealing with high levels of stress & trauma.
It’s draining. Exhausting. Can be overwhelming at times. And lord knows it can be defeating. It is truly a toll that no one will ever understand unless you’ve suited up for a shift or a tour.
Your entire overall health to include mental health is extremely important.
I am asking that you take some time for yourself. If you are in a bad place or struggling, it makes it that much harder to be there for not only those in our communities but even more importantly those we love in our lives.

We’ve all heard the terms that crying can be ‘therapeutic’... Well, there’s actual evidence that proves when we cry, we release chemicals in our tears that there’s no other way to secrete. It’s biology ! Have you ever truly healed w/out shedding a tear or two ?? I say all this to merely point out, crying is normal !! It helps process all the crap we see and are exposed too. If anyone in is
struggling please
If you know someone out there in ‘buddy nation’ who may be struggling please as they may not be able to ask for help.

As , we live in a constant state of hyper vigilance, always being aware of potential dangers. If we do not make time to decompress from this heighten awareness it can cause not only physical harm but also psychological distress

Living in the present moment means no longer worrying about what happened in the past and not fearing what will happen in the future. It means enjoying what’s happening now and living for today.

There are many benefits to being present. Practicing mindfulness can boost your memory, increase your focus, reduce stress, improve your emotional fitness and more. And, most of all, learning how to be present will help you live with passion and purpose.

Energy transfer is real, and contagious.
Our energetic fields respond to trauma and healing energies. Either you affect people, infect people or those same people can imprint on you. They also react to emotions and love. Be mindful of who you let touch you.
These exchanges occur through:
Thought (mind) Physical contact (body) Spiritual Centers, known as our chakras (spirit).
Here are a few options to avoid absorbing negative energy from those around you.
1. Be selective about the people you allow into your life
2. Don’t try to please everyone
3. Beware of energy vampires
4. Be responsible for yourself
5. Spend time alone

In the communities we all have a backpacks we carry daily. That being said, we all however pack differently and some carry more than they should or more than they are capable of carrying.
Some of us travel light, while some of us are secret hoarders who’ve never parted with a memory in our lives. I think that we all have to figure not only what to pack, but also how much to carry. We need to learn how to unpack some of those memories & face that mess. The good thing for those of us packing to much, you don’t have to do this alone. Unpacking some of that mess is not weak. It’s smart. It’s healthy.
If anyone needs help sitting on the floor with your backpack, learning how to pack more efficiently so you can only carry what is needed & what to leave behind, please . If you happen to know someone who may be carrying to much, please as they may not be able to ask for help.

Are you ok?? That’s a question we ask all the time, & l’d say there’s some who dont really want to know the truth because they wouldn’t know how to respond. Hence why there’s those amongst us that merely say, “I’m fine”.
If you begin to have those overwhelming thoughts & feelings, just breathe. There’s huge resilient factors associated with breathing.
