Look at these fantastic frogs (and Epiphany students!) 🐸📚

Last Tuesday, our students received a wonderful visit from local author/illustrator Brandon Reese!

He talked to students about the process of creating his new book, Fantastic Frog and the Amazing Tad Lad, as well as his journey as an artist and writer. He even read a portion of the book, complete with funny voices.

Mr. Reese also taught the students how to draw Fantastic Frog, and then asked them to create their own “swamp baddie.” 🐍

At the end of session, Mr. Reese signed his books for those who brought in their copy! 📝

Students were inspired and very entertained. Thank you for visiting, Mr. Reese! 🌟

Epiphany takes on the North Carolina Zoo 🐒🦍🌳

Last Wednesday, our students took a trip to the world’s largest natural habitat zoo!

“From critically endangered vultures and gorillas in Africa to rare native plants and amphibians in our state, the North Carolina Zoo has been a leader in wildlife conservation for more than two decades.”

Students learned more about the wildlife at the zoo…examining various animal skulls, pelts, bird wings, and even real life bears! 🐻

Thank you for teaching our students about the importance of wildlife and environmental education 💛

Being part of connects us with over 800 other local nonprofits and provides the opportunity for Epiphany to learn and grow through networking opportunities, corporate engagement, impactful presentations, and meaningful connections.
