After Work Wind Down.

Today was full.
Full of listening.
Full of holding space.
Full of pouring into others professionally and personally.

When your life is built around helping people heal, grow, process, and push through… it gets heavy. Real heavy.

So tonight?
I choose to put it down.
I choose to reset.
I choose something sweet. 🍰

Because balance is necessary.
Because even the strong need softness.
Because Team No Feelings doesn’t mean no emotions — it means I refuse to drown in them.

I can care deeply and still protect my peace.
I can serve wholeheartedly and still rest intentionally.

After work, I unwind.
I unplug.
I release what’s not mine to carry.

Reset. Restore. Refill.

I had the opportunity of meeting Rev. Jackson. Not at an event, not in a crowd. But at my Big brother Robert Mackey’s home after a cross had been burned in his yard in Charlotte, NC.
He was very concerned about what had happened. We all were. His life and legacy will continue to live on. Continued prayers for his family and all that adored him. Rest well Sir. 🙏🏾♥️

To all my Singles — today is not the day to shrink.
It’s not the day to hide under blankets scrolling past everyone else’s roses.

It’s the day to rise, glow, and go.

The truth is simple:
You must first love yourself before you can love anyone else.
And how exactly are you going to be found if you’re hiding inside?

Love on yourself today — intentionally.
Book the spa appointment.
Buy the outfit.
Spray the good perfume.
Take yourself to dinner and order what you really want.

Because confidence is attractive.
Joy is magnetic.
And self-love is irresistible.

You never know who else decided to step out and stop waiting too.
Love is in the air — but so is opportunity.

Smile.
Be open.
Be present.
Let today feel magical.

And remember — being single is not a deficiency.
It’s a season of preparation, refinement, and glow-up.

LOVE DAY 💕

Six years ago, I created Love Day with intention and purpose. Because the truth is — not everyone has a boo, bae, boyfriend, significant other, life partner, or spouse… and love should never be limited to relationship status.

So I set aside the first Saturday of February to intentionally show genuine love to the people who are special to me. The friends who check in. The family who covers me. The colleagues who support me. The souls who pour and allow themselves to be poured into.

Love Day is about celebrating connection.
It’s about gratitude.
It’s about showing up on purpose.

I do this in hopes that others will join in — link up with your people, laugh loud, dress up, eat good, create memories, and remind each other that you matter.

Tonight, I decided to attend a gala — because spreading love can be elegant, joyful, and intentional all at the same time.
