We’ve been selected as a semi-finalist for the NC IDEA SEED grant!
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to keep moving forward in such a competitive process alongside other innovative companies across North Carolina.
OTTER Reading is all about making reading instruction more effective and accessible through hands-on tools for early learners and the educators who support them.
This milestone is one more step toward reaching classrooms across the country & getting the right tools into the hands of the students who need them most.

Sometimes my worlds collide and it’s so much fun! This was for a doctorate assignment that supported the Really Great Handwriting curriculum that I helped write using my 3D printer that brings all of my crazy ideas to life!

Day 1 at NC CEC was a success!!

After working on it for DAYS and 30 pages later, I finally got my grant submitted! 5 minutes before the clock expired too! 🤣😅. We were asked to submit a video under 3 minutes with our grant. It could be a pitch or a demo. So I mashed both together! I’m not a huge fan of public speaking! I get so nervous! So this practice was super beneficial!

Hi! I know it has been an incredibly long time since I updated my page and shared exciting updates and literacy news! I want to get better about posting here and talking all things MULTI-SENSORY and LITERACY!

One thing I have really become interested in is handwriting! I have had an opportunity to speak about handwriting recently, and its impact on reading is huge! I consider it the unsung hero of reading!

I will start sharing some interesting articles I have found and some fun strategies you can use to support your students as they transition from learning to form letters to learning to spell to learning to write!
